Full Time (40 hrs per week) Reports to:Director of Human Resources Location:
Corporate Office Location Human Resources Department 420 S. Doolittle Road Edinburg, TX 78542 Description of Duties Responsible for coordinating the preparation, accuracy, and disbursement of the Corporation's payroll. Responsible for the calculation of employee hours worked from timesheets and time cards, and prepares information for submission to third-party payroll vendor. Responsible for initializing the payroll process and for utilizing checklists to ensure that payroll functions are performed properly and in a timely manner. Responsible for verifying that information received from the TPA are accurate. Works on special projects for the Director of Human Resources as needed. Participates in job specific training, and other various required corporate training programs. May act as a backup to the other members of the HR Team in periods of absence. Participates in job specific training, and other various required training programs. Complies with federal and state regulations and all established corporate policies and procedures. Other duties as may be assigned. Job Requirements A self-starting individual who possesses a High School Diploma or GED. Must have at least 4 years prior experience working with computerized payroll. Must have prior experience with state and federal payroll tax and laws. Must be a hard-working team player with professional attitude and ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to prioritize, plan and perform tasks with little direction is necessary. Good organizational, interpersonal, communications and customer relation skills are required. Must have strong payroll software skills and be knowledgeable of Microsoft Word and Excel. Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Preferences Prior experience running payroll in-house with computerized payroll or HRIS software is preferred. Certified Payroll Professional certification is preferred.
