Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in El Paso, Texas. In this role, you will handle essential payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations while contributing to related HR and accounting tasks. This opportunity offers stability within a reputable organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis for both hourly and salaried employees.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax forms, including 941s, W-2s, and 1099s, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
• Manage payroll adjustments such as bonuses, garnishments, and other specialized entries.
• Provide support for HR functions, including onboarding and preparation of recruiting materials.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities to ensure accurate financial operations.
• Maintain payroll records and data using Sage 100 or other payroll systems.
• Perform basic data entry and tracking tasks using Excel to support payroll operations. Requirements
• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing.
• Familiarity with multi-state payroll systems and regulations.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll platforms.
• Ability to manage payroll for over 500 employees efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic proficiency in Excel for data entry and tracking.
• Knowledge of payroll tax compliance and reporting requirements.
