Job Description

30 years ago, Dr. Barnes founded Eyemart Express to deliver everything a patient needs. It started with one friendly shop in Appleton, WI, and has since expanded to over 245 stores in 42 states. Today, Eyemart Express is celebrated for promptly delivering quality eyewear at great prices while maintaining great relationships with optometrists and local communities. We're not like everyone else—with local labs in stores, eye exams, and same-day delivery on glasses—our customers never miss a moment. Now, you can join one of the nation's top optical retailers and improve lives by helping people see better. Eyemart Express is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will support payroll operations for employees across multiple states, ensuring payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and enjoys working with data in a fast-paced environment. If you have payroll experience, strong analytical skills, and a passion for helping employees, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Support the processing of multi-state payrolls in accordance with federal and state regulations, company policies, and established deadlines. Review payroll data for accuracy and audit payroll reports to ensure complete and accurate processing. Research payroll discrepancies and coordinate corrections when needed. Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide exceptional customer service. Assist with employee onboarding activities to ensure accurate employee records and system setup. Coordinate employee terminations within HR and payroll systems. Process large volumes of employee and payroll data accurately and efficiently. Partner with payroll, timekeeping, and scheduling vendors to resolve issues and submit service requests. Assist with payroll-related reporting, audits, and special projects as assigned. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 2-4 years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payrolls. Working knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and compliance requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with UKG Payroll Services or a similar payroll platform. Experience with UKG Time & Attendance or comparable workforce management systems. Experience working in a shared services environment. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field. Why Eyemart Express? At Eyemart Express, we are committed to creating an environment where employees can grow their careers while making a meaningful impact. You'll join a collaborative team that values accuracy, service, and continuous improvement while supporting thousands of employees across the organization. If you're looking for an opportunity to expand your payroll expertise and contribute to a growing company, we encourage you to apply.
