Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a detail-focused, proactive Payroll & HR Support professional who takes ownership of complex payroll processes and ensures payroll is executed with the highest level of accuracy. This role partners closely with HR, Operations, and Finance to maintain accurate records, improve visibility to key site metrics, and support overall business performance. Just as importantly, this individual serves as a trusted, approachable resource for employees—often acting as a first point of contact for HR-related questions and support. Success in this role requires strong professionalism, sound judgment when handling confidential information, and a balance of operational excellence and continuous improvement thinking. Essential Job Functions
  • Accurately completes weekly payroll within the required time period - reliability and stellar attendance are necessary to ensure all employees receive their pay as expected.
  • Serve as a primary employee resource, providing timely, helpful, and clear guidance on HR, payroll, attendance, and leave-related questions
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when managing sensitive employee information
  • Track, monitor, and manage attendance and leave of absence data (including status updates, documentation, and follow-up)
  • Understand, interpret, and consistently apply company policies and procedures
  • Accurately document employee interactions, decisions, and communications
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience
  • Support cross-functional needs, including back-up support for administrative or operational scheduling responsibilities as needed
  • Assist with special projects and team initiatives, contributing solutions and recommendations
  • Develop a strong understanding of how this role impacts both employees and overall plant operations
  • Work safely within a manufacturing environment, including movement throughout production areas and able to work around food allergens as needed General Skills - Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Reliable attendance and productivity to meet necessary deadlines with limited supervision
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fun and engaging with employees
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated and self-directed Preferred Qualifications
  • Administrative experience
  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Payroll and leave administration experience
  • HR or Professional customer service experience Potential Career Path Opportunity for advancement based on individual skills and qualifications within the plant or broader organization, including progression to Executive Assistant roles.
Education High School Diploma or GED required. Supervisory Responsibility Does not supervise others. Physical Demands Must be able to meet physical requirements of the role including walking, standing, sitting, climbing, bending, squatting, and working within standard plant conditions.
Pay:
$24.00 - $25.00 per hour
