Job Description

Certified Payroll Specialist About us: Hurricane Fence Company provides an exceptional range of fence solutions for all scales of Residential, Commercial and Government fence installation projects. With over one hundred years of collective experience, we've earned a reputation as a Top Regional Fence Contractor for Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Washington DC. We take immense pride in all of our fence installations, from the smallest urban residential fence project to high security up and down the eastern seaboard of the United States. We are currently seeking to fill the role of Certified Payroll Specialist. This position will have primary responsibility for completing Certified Payroll Reports and ensuring Hurricane Fence complies with project labor requirements by managing wage documentation, subcontractor payments and AP processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Requesting proper Wage Determinations
  • Review Davis Bacon Wage Determinations included in Contracts
  • Prepare and submit CPRs for house crews and subcontractors
  • Input weekly payroll data into CIP portals
  • Key subcontractor payments and vendor invoices into Acumatica
  • Record wages for use with project labor
  • Request any wages missing from contract wage determination
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and subcontractors to maintain financial and regulatory integrity
Qualifications:
  • Experience in payroll, compliance, and/or construction finance
  • Prior experience in administrative role
  • Construction industry experience (Preferred)
  • Understanding of federal and state wage laws
  • Familiarity with third-party reporting portals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Critical thinking
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English (Preferred) Employment Requirement
  • Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
