February 2026 About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to support accurate and timely payroll processing, compensation administration, and certified payroll reporting. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll compliance, Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage reporting, payroll data integrity, and responsive internal customer service. The Payroll Administrator plays a critical role in weekly payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, wage garnishment administration, and maintaining accurate payroll records within payroll systems and company databases. What You'll Do Process weekly payroll, including commission payroll cycles, ensuring accurate and timely wage distribution Prepare and submit Certified Payroll reports for Davis-Bacon projects using LCP Tracker Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws and federal, state, and local payroll regulations Enter and maintain employee payroll data including wages, deductions, tax withholdings, and compensation changes Process compensation updates including wage increases, promotions, and performance-based adjustments Administer wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions Monitor and manage payroll inbox communications and respond to employee and management inquiries Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in collaboration with field leadership and managers Generate payroll reports and distribute payroll data to management as needed Maintain documentation and audit trails for payroll transactions and payroll changes Safeguard confidential payroll and employee information Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures Perform additional payroll and administrative duties as assigned What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent required 3+ years of payroll processing experience Experience with Certified Payroll and Davis-Bacon reporting preferred Knowledge of prevailing wage compliance Experience administering payroll deductions and wage garnishments Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience working within payroll systems and HRIS platforms Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Professional demeanor and ability to communicate diplomatically Ability to maintain urgency and composure in time-sensitive situations Physical Requirements Ability to see clearly (with or without correction) Ability to use personal protective equipment as required Frequent light lifting (up to 20 lbs.) Occasional moderate lifting (21-50 lbs.) Frequent repetitive motion Constant sitting with occasional standing, walking, reaching, and stair climbing Work Environment This position operates primarily in an indoor office environment.
Pay:
$26.75 - $32.21 per hour
