Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a busy organization in New Jersey. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll specialist who can manage high-volume processing with accuracy, consistency, and strong attention to detail. The role focuses on end-to-end payroll administration across multiple states and requires hands-on experience working in ADP Workforce Now.
Responsibilities:
  • Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce of more than 500 employees while maintaining accuracy and meeting all scheduled deadlines.
  • Administer multi-state payroll activities, ensuring proper handling of state-specific wage, tax, and deduction requirements.
  • Use ADP Workforce Now to enter, review, validate, and finalize payroll data for regular pay cycles.
  • Audit payroll records, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues related to pay, time reporting, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Partner with HR, finance, and internal stakeholders to gather payroll changes and ensure employee information is updated correctly.
  • Maintain payroll documentation and support compliance with applicable company policies and payroll regulations.
  • Respond to employee payroll questions in a timely manner and provide clear guidance on pay-related matters.
