Job Title:
Universal Banker I Department:
Santa Clara Office We are looking for Universal Banker I to join our Santa Clara Office branch team. The Universal Banker I will be responsible for conducting client and bank transactions with accuracy, speed, efficiency, and professionalism standards. Responsible for consistently providing excellent client service and to cross-sell bank products and services and to generate referrals as appropriate. Employees in this position may be progressively cross-trained in new account processes as deemed appropriate and in conjunction with the sales and service needs of the branch.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides exceptional service in handling clients in-person or on the telephone. Performs teller or new accounts or client service functions when needed. Processes deposits, withdrawals, check cash and other transactions. Assist with posting transactions over authority limits or exceptionally complex transactions. Responsible for loss prevention in the processing all transactions and duties. Issues cashier's checks and other negotiable items. Assist with opening new accounts and gathering customer information. Keep informed and compliant of policies, practices, regulations, and laws applicable to the job function. Input client information to the bank system for various transactions. Maintains a cash drawer and audits the cash drawer according to policy and schedule.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum one year of experience in bank operations preferred, but not required. Cash handling experience in a bank or retail setting preferred. Ability to follow precise directions and learn banking equipment and software quickly. Present a professional image in dealing with clients, interdepartmental, and external representatives. Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints. Bilingual in English and Korean is preferred.
