POSITION OVERVIEW
The Commercial Support Specialist is primarily responsible for portfolio management of commercial banking clients. The Commercial Support Specialist provides exceptional client service through the efficient and accurate processing of a variety of financial transactions, creating positive client experiences, establishing new client account relationships, and working collaboratively with the entire team to coordinate all client service activities. This position handles phone inquiries, resolves client issues, identifies client needs, reviews the risk of transactions, builds rapport with clients and maintains a high service standard. Most of their time is spent in client-servicing activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with assigned Commercial Banker(s) to fully service and manage their client portfolio, including but not limited to deposit account servicing, new loan closing and post-closing activities, loan account servicing, treasury management account servicing and all portfolio management activities.
  • Accurately process client transactions, including but not limited to deposits, transfers, payments, and the sale of consignment items.
  • Develop consultative relationships with clients in order to add value by delivering appropriate banking solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with partners to identify opportunities and deliver exceptional client service.
  • The ability to proactively promote and explain all Commercial Banking products and services offered through the bank.
  • Required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of client services, opening and monitoring DDA, lines of credit, knowledge of the commercial credit process.
  • Support marketing efforts to promote the bank's products and services.
  • Request and follow up to gather any required financial information from clients as well as creating and updating the Bank's electronic records in a timely manner.
  • Utilize knowledge of the Bank's products and services to effectively meet the needs of our clients, referring to the appropriate partners for additional services when required.
  • Demonstrate ongoing learning agility by actively participating in continuing education opportunities.
  • Consistently provide a high level of client service, both internally and externally, representing the Bank professionally, efficiently, and tactfully.
  • Fulfill responsibilities under the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations. This may include identifying customers properly, initiating CTRs and SARs investigations as needed, utilizing OFAC records and maintaining appropriate records.
  • Adhere to the Bank's policies and procedures and all Federal and State laws and regulations.
  • Perform any other duties, as assigned.

                    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
                    • High school diploma or equivalent education. Bachelor's degree preferred.
                    • Minimum five years of banking experience.
                    • Deposit and/or Loan Operations experience preferred.
                    • Minimum three years of prior work related experience in commercial lending support, loan administration, or real estate loan documentation or related legal experience required.
                    WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
                    • General office environment that requires the extensive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
                    • Frequently required to sit / stand for extended periods of time, reach with arms and hands, stand, walk, stoop, talk and hear.
                    • May be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
