Full Job Description Purpose:
Provide financial solutions for bank customers, primarily on the retail side. Pursue relationship banking by assessing needs and offering West Bank products and services. Open accounts for new and existing customers of the Bank. Actively service and maintain customer accounts. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Build Strong Relationships as you provide and help create an outstanding service experience for all new and prospective customers in the following functions: Open Personal and Business Accounts for
New and Existing Customers:
Provide financial solutions for bank customers, Develop and grow relationship banking by assessing needs and offering appropriate West Bank products and services. Open new accounts, debit cards, check orders, etc. Assist commercial bankers with new account and maintenance requests as assigned. Complete on-boarding process. (40%) Actively Service, Maintain, Retain, and Grow Customer Accounts. Manage an assigned portfolio of customers. Resolve basic customer service issues, unauthorized purchases, online banking help, debit cards, account balancing, and various account questions. Assist with walk-in customer traffic, answer customer calls related to product questions, issues, rates, etc. Ask discovery questions during service transactions. Make proactive calls on high value existing customers. Monitor and review customer account status. (40%)
Consumer Lending:
Service an existing loan portfolio and interview new loan applicants. Identify and provide loan referrals to other departments in the bank (commercial/construction banking). (15%)
Build Strong Communities:
Participate in community events, including serving in a leadership position of at least one community organization, staffing at least two events (art festivals, community celebrations, etc.), hosting at least one customer at an outside event, representing West Bank as requested by attending at least one luncheon, dinner, or reception, and participating in at least two community festivals (parades, bank-sponsored outreach events, etc.) per year. (5%) Qualifications (Include Education and Experience): AA Degree in Business Administration or a related field. Prior banking experience required. Certifications in banking regulations, 3 + years banking experience preferred. Knowledge and use of MS Office Products, and programs used by West Bank (Premier, Platform Insight). Lending experience, including home equity loans preferred. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work with multiple lines of business.
