Description:
Use sound banking and business practices, the Universal Banker will serve the needs of existing and prospective customers. The ideal Universal Banker will be a self-starting, team-oriented individual who provides remarkable customer service, has previous cash handling experience, and places a high level of importance on confidentiality. Duties and Responsibilities Consistently provide top-notch, high quality customer service, analysis, and consultation, for all existing and potential customers, while accurately and effectively processing transactions and supporting sales. Process transactions for various bank products and services including, but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier checks, opening and processing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, referrals and inventory of branch items as needed. Reconcile and balance teller drawer, vault, mail drop and night depository. Investigate discrepancies and make corrections as needed. Provide efficient and courteous customer service, cross-marketing products, and services to generate new business for the financial institution. Prepare, compile, and maintain relevant documentation regarding all bank products/transactions ensuring compliance with all bank policy and procedures and regulatory laws and regulations. Performs other duties such as answering calls and assist other departments when appropriate. Be flexible to work as a Personal Banker or Teller as needed. Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements High school education or GED 1-2 years of customer service, sales and/or cash handling experience Self-motivated with a demonstrated aptitude and desire for sales achievement Passion for customer service and helping people Ability, motivation and preference to succeed in a goal-driven environment Superior customer relationship building skills Ability to maintain and balance a cash drawer Comfortable making outreach calls to consumer or business customers and/or prospects Proficient working knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite Comfortable with technology i.e., smartphones, iPads, online banking, remote deposit capture, ATM deposits, etc Basic understanding of personal finances and concept of budgeting Good organizational skills Must be available to work a flexible schedule Monday through Saturday Ability to function in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong commitment to personal growth, learning and success Ability to interact with customers and team members in a professional and personable manner Detailed oriented and ability to follow established policies and procedures Desirable Requirements Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related area 1-2 years banking experience Basic knowledge of small business, mortgages, and lending services All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
