About this Role In this Personal Banker role, you will create and deliver a positive client experience within a retail banking environment while conducting financial transactions typically associated with a bank teller position. You must have a positive attitude, be a team player, and actively listen to clients' financial needs to refer them to the appropriate bank products, banking solutions, or representatives. Additionally, you must adapt well to a changing banking environment, handle customer service concerns, maintain the security of customer information, prioritize items of significance, and manage your assigned teller cash drawer responsibly. Role You Will Client Experience:
Deliver a unique banking client experience aimed at improving financial well-being, building loyalty, and increasing share of wallet. Process a variety of client interactions, including teller transactions, educate clients on available banking alternatives, and identify opportunities to deepen relationships with the bank through appropriate referrals.
Referrals:
Identify opportunities through meaningful conversations with clients and make appropriate referrals to bank partners, branch staff, or other banking specialists.
Lobby Engagement:
Perform lobby engagement activities to connect with clients, support teller traffic flow, and position bank products and digital banking solutions to meet client needs. Educate clients on options for managing financial transactions using banking technology, tools, and resources.
Product and Procedural Knowledge:
Apply knowledge of bank products, banking services, and teller procedures to accurately address client requests.
Operational Compliance:
Adhere to all bank policies and procedures, demonstrate sound judgment within established limits, and ensure teller operations, cash handling, and daily branch transactions are completed efficiently, securely, and accurately.
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned within the bank or branch.
Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills Education:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
At least one year of relevant work experience preferred; prior banking, bank teller, or financial services experience is strongly preferred. Accuracy and Attention to

Ability to process banking transactions and teller activities with high levels of accuracy.
Addressing Client Needs:
Knowledge of and ability to recognize and respond to the diverse needs of bank clients.
Digital Awareness:
Supports clients in using digital banking tools, online banking platforms, and self-service teller alternatives to meet financial goals.
Effective Communications:
Ability to clearly communicate banking information, listen actively, and effectively engage with clients and team members.
Critical Thinking:
Ability to identify and prevent fraudulent activity within a banking or teller environment using sound judgment and established processes.
Managing Multiple Priorities:
Ability to manage multiple banking and teller responsibilities simultaneously, prioritizing effectively.
Problem Solving:
Ability to resolve client, operational, or teller-related issues in a banking environment using sound judgment and established procedures. Compensation Disclosure The range for this banking role takes into account many factors that First Bank considers when making hiring decisions, including but not limited to prior experience, skill set, training, and other internal business and organizational factors. First Bank generally does not hire at or near the top of the stated range. The range is driven by the geographic location of the bank branch; however, the specific range may vary depending on location. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is $16.50 - $21.00 per hour. #INDEW1
