Company Overview The Hometown Savings Bank is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service within its community. Overview We are seeking a dynamic Trust Relationship Specialist to join our team. The role serves as the primary point of contact for Trust and Wealth Management clients. This is a high-impact, client-facing role focused on delivering a seamless service experience, managing the onboarding of new accounts, and identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships. This position is vital to the department's growth strategy, ensuring every client receives proactive, year-round financial attention. Responsibilities Act as the dedicated point of contact for a portfolio of Wealth Management clients, responding to inquiries and managing their daily banking needs. Conduct regular check-in meetings with clients to ensure their financial objectives are being met and to adapt to any life changes (e.g., retirement, inheritance, or estate updates). Provide a high-touch service experience that reinforces THSB's reputation as a community-focused, relationship-driven institution. Lead the end-to-end process for opening new trust, investment, and specialized deposit accounts. Transition prospective leads into active clients through professional presentations and thorough documentation. Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products (e.g., private banking, mortgage services, or commercial lending) to provide a holistic financial solution. Maintain meticulous client records and ensure all account activities comply with fiduciary standards and bank regulations. Assist in the preparation of annual trust reviews and tax-related documentation. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of trades, distributions, and wire transfers. Represent The Hometown Savings Bank at community events and professional networking groups. Support the department's marketing efforts by identifying local trends and client needs that can be addressed through new service offerings. Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field preferred, Associates degree in business, accounting or related field required. One to two years of experience in banking, finance, or trust field preferred. Knowledge of various federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. In-depth knowledge of all bank operations. In-depth knowledge of bank loan, trust, and investment center products. Basic computer operation and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills. Proficient in multi-tasking and prioritizing projects. Excellent time management skills and accustomed to working with and meeting deadlines. Mathematical skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality standards. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to cross sell. Ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to loss or fraud.
