Job Description

Position Summary The Teller is responsible for delivering exceptional member service while accurately processing financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments. This role supports both lobby and drive-thru operations, contributes to daily branch activities, and ensures compliance with all regulations and internal procedures. Position Overview This branch location is the busiest within the organization, serving a wide range of members from students to seniors. The role includes both high-traffic interaction periods and slower times, during which administrative and support tasks are completed. Key Responsibilities Provide friendly, professional service to members and build positive relationships Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers Issue debit cards, money orders, and other financial instruments Maintain and balance cash drawer accurately throughout the day Assist with both lobby and drive-thru customer service through a rotating schedule Perform back-office tasks such as data entry, reporting, and filing during downtime Answer member inquiries and refer to appropriate departments when needed Support branch operations including opening/closing procedures and supply management Verify, count, and prepare cash and coin shipments Process additional transactions such as: Loan payments and advances IRA contributions Credit card payments and cash advances Check orders and foreign checks (Canadian) Address changes and travel notices Answer phone calls and occasionally assist with outbound member communication Assist in training new team members as needed Maintain confidentiality and comply with all policies and regulations Work Schedule Monday -
Friday:
9:00 AM - 5:30 PM No Saturdays currently 1-hour lunch and one 15-minute break Rotating responsibilities between lobby and drive-thru Work Environment Fast-paced, member-facing branch with varying activity levels Small, team-oriented staff Supportive, hands-on leadership Business casual dress code (no jeans; occasional dress-down days) Training & Onboarding Initial onboarding includes paperwork and shadowing Hands-on training tailored to individual learning pace Combination of in-person and online training modules Gradual transition from observation to independently handling transactions
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable personality Professional demeanor and presentation Ability to multitask and remain composed in a high-traffic environment Basic computer skills Strong math skills and attention to detail Ability to learn quickly and adapt
Preferred:
