Job Description
Universal Banker (1-3 years of experience) Ozark, MO 65721 Full-time Full-time Overview The Universal Banker serves as a frontline ambassador of the bank, delivering exceptional customer service while performing both Teller and Banker functions. This role is responsible for accurately processing daily transactions, opening and servicing a full range of consumer and business deposit accounts, identifying customer needs, and supporting branch sales and operational goals. The Universal Banker plays a key role in building long-term customer relationships and supporting the bank's mission within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Teller Responsibilities Accurately process all customer teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing Balance cash drawer and vault in accordance with bank policy Follow all security, audit, and compliance procedures, including BSA/AML and OFAC requirements Identify and report suspicious or fraudulent activity Provide friendly, prompt, and professional service at the teller line and drive‑thru Answer customer questions regarding accounts, bank products, and services New Account & Customer Service Responsibilities Open and maintain all deposit products while following correct account titling procedures, including: Personal and business checking and savings accounts Certificates of Deposit (CDs) Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) Collect and verify required documentation in compliance with CIP, KYC, and bank policies Educate customers on account features, fees, and digital banking services Perform account maintenance, including signature updates, address changes, account closures, and research requests Relationship Building Proactively identify customer financial needs through conversation Recommend appropriate bank products and services using a customer‑first approach Cross‑sell and refer customers to additional deposit services, loans, cash management, or credit card solutions Support branch referral and deposit growth goals while maintaining service excellence Administrative & Operational Duties Maintain accurate and complete customer records Assist with branch operational tasks, reports, and audits Support branch coverage needs, including lobby, teller line, and drive‑thru Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient branch operations Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience o 1 -3 years of banking, teller, customer service experience preferred. o Experience opening deposit accounts or working in a banking environment is a plus •
