Universal Banker Summerville, SC 29483 $24
  • 26/hour Depending on Experience Full-Time A growing community bank in the Charleston area is seeking an experienced Universal Banker to join their high-volume branch team in Summerville.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys customer interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to work in a more relationship-focused banking setting rather than a heavily sales-driven culture. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent experience in a bank or credit union environment and be comfortable handling both teller and customer service responsibilities while supporting overall branch operations. Responsibilities
  • Process customer banking transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Handle account servicing and assist customers with everyday banking needs
  • Maintain and balance a cash drawer while following security and compliance procedures
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional, community-focused service
  • Educate customers on banking products, services, and self-service tools
  • Support branch operations and assist team members wherever needed
  • Identify and report potential fraud concerns or suspicious activity
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all banking policies and procedures
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented branch environment Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent banking experience required
  • Experience as a Universal Banker, Teller, Personal Banker, or similar banking role required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a high-volume branch environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with cash handling
  • Comfortable working with multiple branch functions and responsibilities
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to jump in and support the team
  • Able to handle challenging situations with confidence
  • Fiserv experience preferred, specifically Navigator and Teller systems
