Position Overview GenTech Associates is seeking engaging and professional Personal Financial Management Course (PFMC) Instructors to deliver financial literacy training to Initial Entry Training (IET) Soldiers at Army installations nationwide. PFMC Instructors provide classroom-based instruction covering budgeting, credit management, savings, investing, and long-term financial readiness. The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking to large groups, facilitating interactive learning, and presenting financial concepts in a clear and relatable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver the PFMC curriculum in accordance with contract requirements and Army standards. Facilitate interactive classroom instruction to groups of Soldiers, ensuring engagement and comprehension. Tailor delivery techniques to meet the needs of diverse audiences while maintaining fidelity to the approved curriculum. Manage classroom logistics, including attendance tracking and coordination with unit points of contact (POCs). Submit Electronic Closure Reports (ECRs) within 48 hours of course completion to document course delivery and attendance. Administer and support pre- and post-assessments as required by the program. Provide feedback on curriculum effectiveness, student engagement, and observed knowledge gaps. Participate in periodic meetings or check-ins with Regional Leads and program management. Maintain professionalism and represent the PFMC program in alignment with Army values and expectations. Adapt to schedule changes, short-notice adjustments, and varying installation requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Finance, Business, Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 1 year of teaching, training, facilitation, or instructional experience. Proficiency in financial management and related teaching techniques. Financial management subject matter knowledge. Familiarity with presentations, curriculum materials, and training aids. Strong public speaking and classroom facilitation skills. Ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to large groups. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Ability to travel locally to assigned installations as required. Must be able to pass background screening requirements for access to military installations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior military experience or familiarity with military culture. Experience teaching or instructing adult learners. Financial certifications such as Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or similar credentials.
Work Environment & Schedule:
Instruction is typically delivered in-person at Army installations. Courses are scheduled based on unit training calendars and may vary week to week. Instructors generally work on Saturdays and can expect a typical training day of approximately 7 hours , including instruction, breaks, setup, and required administrative reporting. Compensation includes instructional time and administrative time for required reporting and course preparation.
Additional Requirements:
Instructors are expected to maintain compliance with all required training and certifications, including
OPSEC, AT
Level I, iWATCH, and any future contract-mandated requirements.
Compensation:
