Compak's integrated wealth management solution includes asset management, retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, charitable planning, and risk management. Compak participates in Fidelity Investments' Wealth Advisor Solutions network. This program connects Fidelity clients with independent investment advisory firms that provide specialized investment and financial planning solutions, while allowing clients to maintain their relationship with their Fidelity advisor. Opportunity Compak is seeking a Financial Planner to join our Newport Beach, CA office. This is a full-time, in-office, client-facing role for a planning professional who wants to help design sophisticated financial strategies for high-net-worth families. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA, tax professional, or MS-Tax graduate who is interested in transitioning from traditional tax work into comprehensive financial planning and wealth management. Working closely with Compak's Wealth Managers, the Financial Planner will prepare comprehensive financial plans, develop tax strategies, support client relationships, and help deliver a seamless, high-quality wealth management experience.
Responsibilities The Financial Planner will:
Create comprehensive financial plans. Lead financial and tax planning work for an assigned group of client households. Analyze client goals, cash flow, retirement needs, tax considerations, estate planning issues, charitable planning opportunities, and risk management needs. Collaborate closely with Wealth Managers and other team members to deliver integrated client advice. Maintain and cultivate relationships with external professionals and service providers to enhance the delivery of concierge-level client service. Help prepare client meeting materials and participate in client meetings, as appropriate. Support ongoing planning updates as client circumstances, markets, tax laws, and estate planning needs evolve. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include finance, accounting, economics, tax, mathematics, or a related discipline. 2+ years of individual tax return preparation and/or financial planning experience with a wealth advisory firm, RIA, financial planning firm, CPA firm, or related financial services organization. CPA or CFP® designation preferred. Candidates with an MS in Taxation and an interest in wealth management are also encouraged to apply. Strong understanding of the U.S. tax system for individuals and families. Familiarity with financial planning concepts, including retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, charitable planning, cash flow planning, insurance, and risk management. Experience with financial planning or tax preparation software preferred. Highly accurate, organized, analytical, and detail-oriented. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex planning concepts clearly to clients. Responsive, professional, collaborative, and client-service-oriented. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Range:
