We are currently seeking a qualified Financial Consultant to join our team supporting our DoD Federal Client.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Financial Consultant will collaborate with a government Program/Project Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team, and Cost Estimation Team to support financial planning, analysis, and cost methodologies for Defense Health Systems acquisition programs. Coordinate with Program/Product Managers, FP&A Team, Acquisitions, B/E Team, and Cost Estimation Team to support key mission goals and ensure cost estimates are updated in alignment with program strategy Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) inputs for assigned programs Support PMO-related activities across Acquisition, FP&A, and Program teams, including tracking deliverables, timelines, and key milestones Help implement and track program goals and objectives in support of POM and spend plan development Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather program updates and assist in assessing financial impacts in coordination with the cost estimation team Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support business processes and identify areas for improvement Contribute to the development of presentations, reports, dashboards, and other deliverables for internal teams and clients Assist in improving processes and procedures for financial reporting and program management Communicate findings and insights to team members and stakeholders through written, visual, and verbal formats Utilize a problem-solving, solutions-oriented approach to support program and financial objectives Support interactions with internal and external stakeholders, including preparation for meetings and briefings Collect, compile, analyze, and present financial and program data with attention to accuracy and detail Apply foundational knowledge of financial analysis, project, and program management principles
REQUIREMENTS
2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, consulting, government contracting, or a related field Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or cost analysis activities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools Experience contributing to presentations, reports, or client deliverables Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support multiple stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Interest in learning DoD financial processes, acquisition, and program management practices Exposure to federal financial management or Department of Defense (DoD) environments preferred, but not required Familiarity with financial processes such as Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) is a plus Exposure to process improvement initiatives or project-based work is a plus Familiarity with Agile or project management concepts is helpful but not required
SALARY:
Salary is commensurate with both location and experience.
