  • Analysis & Reconciliation Finance/Accounting Washington , District Of Columbia Consultant Apr 24, 2026 We currently have an opportunity for a Financial Statement Consultant
  • Analysis & Reconciliation
  • Contractor Serve as a consultant performing assigned financial statement activities including the analysis and reconciliation of federal financial statements and providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and support to various stakeholders within the organization Participate in performing reconciliations related to budget execution and budgetary resources to include Fund Balance with Treasury (cash), Standard Form (SF) 132 to general ledger, Statement of Budgetary Resources to SF-133 and prepare JVs for general ledger adjustments related to findings in reconciliation activities Perform reconciliation of the Provider Listing, both provider and customer, (report on reimbursable agreement activity) and assist in completing and reconciling intradepartmental elimination entries Perform tie-point analysis from the general ledger and recommend solutions to determine the cause and resolve errors when applicable Perform research to identify discrepancies in current processes and procedures in comparison to Federal Financial standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required, master's in business administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification preferred At least 3 years of Federal Financial Management experience and experience with any of the following: preparation or auditing of Federal financial statements, operations research, advanced data analytics knowledge, exploratory data mining, and data visualization utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform In-depth knowledge of federal financial regulations, including, but not limited to OMB Circulars, FASAB, SFFAS, FFMIA, FMFIA, and the USSGL Federal financial management system experience, CGI Momentum experience preferable Local to the Greater Washington, DC area; position is 100% office-based work on client site (NW Washington, DC)
