Job Description

at State of Delaware in Smyrna, Delaware, United States Job Description Position is with the Office of the Secretary, Administration supporting DSAAPD/DHCI and reports to the Administrator of Financial Determination. A supervisory position which oversees 5 Fiscal Associate II's in Patient Finance section and is responsible for all Patient Finance transactions. They review, monitor, audit and approve all patient purchases and revenue prior to Business Manager. They are responsible for day-to-day operations and makes sure everything complies and is processed according to policy and procedures, with appropriate approvals. This position performs and monitors daily, weekly and monthly accounts payable and receivables. They reconcile and close out balances and resolves discrepancies. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Fiscal Advisor II Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: One year of experience in compiling, analyzing and reporting on financial data to ensure effective and efficient accounting of funds or to make projections for financial planning. One year of experience in ensuring compliance of financial transactions with budgets, applicable agreements, grants or contracts, and state or federal laws, rules, and regulations. Six months' experience in researching and analyzing accounting transactions and records to reconcile discrepancies or errors and maintain an audit trail. Coursework, training and/or work experience in staff supervision which may include performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others.
