Job Description

Financial Counseling Representative On-Site - Pensacola, FL| Hospital Ascension Sacred Heart-Pensacola.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8 am-4:30 pm Are you passionate about supporting patients through the financial side of healthcare while building a career in revenue cycle and financial counseling ? As a Financial Counseling Representative , you will be a trusted guide for patients navigating insurance coverage, financial responsibility, and payment solutions.
What You'll Do:
Provide exceptional financial counseling support by helping patients understand insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs Meet with patients to discuss payment options and financial assistance programs Verify insurance eligibility and explain benefits clearly Assist with Medicaid and financial assistance applications Build trust with patients during stressful financial situations Collaborate with care teams and revenue cycle departments Maintain accurate documentation across multiple systems
What We're Looking For:
Exceptional customer service experience, communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrates genuine compassion, empathy, and patience when supporting the patients, clients and team members Ability to explain financial and insurance concepts clearly Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly with HIGH attention to detail . Professionalism with sensitive financial conversations

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.48 - $23.13 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
