This role is ideal for an advisor who embraces the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) fiduciary standard , placing client interests first while delivering thoughtful, disciplined investment strategies. As a fiduciary advisor, you will work closely with clients to develop and manage long-term financial plans that prioritize income stability, capital preservation, tax efficiency, and sustainable withdrawal strategies . The ideal candidate understands the unique financial challenges facing retirees, including income planning, longevity risk, healthcare costs, estate planning, and market volatility , and can guide clients with clarity and integrity. This role requires strong financial expertise, excellent client relationship skills, and a deep commitment to fiduciary responsibility, transparency, and personalized advice . Key ResponsibilitiesClient Advisory & Fiduciary Guidance Provide fiduciary financial advice aligned with RIA standards, ensuring all recommendations are in the best interest of clients. Develop comprehensive financial plans for individuals approaching or in retirement , including income strategies, asset allocation, and risk management. Conduct in-depth reviews of client financial situations, including assets, liabilities, tax considerations, estate structures, and retirement income needs. Guide clients on retirement-focused strategies such as income investing, withdrawal planning, Social Security optimization, and tax-efficient distribution strategies . Investment & Portfolio Management Construct and manage diversified portfolios designed for long-term wealth preservation and income generation . Monitor portfolio performance and proactively rebalance allocations based on market conditions and client objectives. Conduct ongoing research on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory developments that may impact investment strategies. Implement investment strategies that prioritize risk management, capital preservation, and sustainable income streams for retirees. Retirement & Estate Planning Coordination Collaborate with clients and external professionals such as CPAs, estate attorneys, and tax advisors to ensure integrated financial planning. Advise clients on estate planning considerations including wills, trusts, beneficiary planning, and wealth transfer strategies . Provide guidance on tax-efficient investing, required minimum distributions (RMDs), and retirement account planning. Client Relationship Management Build long-term relationships with clients through regular financial reviews and proactive communication. Educate clients on financial topics including portfolio diversification, retirement income planning, tax considerations, and risk management . Maintain detailed records of client interactions, investment decisions, and compliance documentation in accordance with RIA regulatory requirements . Required Qualifications Proven experience in investment advisory, wealth management, or financial planning , preferably within an RIA or fiduciary advisory environment . Strong understanding of retirement income planning, asset allocation strategies, and fiduciary investment practices . Working knowledge of securities regulations, tax planning concepts, estate planning strategies, and retirement planning frameworks . Proficiency with financial planning and portfolio management software. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Exceptional client relationship and communication skills with a consultative advisory approach. Preferred Qualifications Professional designations such as CFP®, CFA®, or similar financial planning credentials . Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, retirees, or clients nearing retirement . Familiarity with income-focused investment strategies and retirement distribution planning .
