Job Description

Job Title:
Junior Wealth Advisor Position Summary Xception Family Office is a growing multi-family office serving select families with complex wealth management needs. We provide personalized, institutional-quality advice across investments, planning, operations, and family office services. The Junior Wealth Advisor bridges client service and advisory work, partnering with lead advisors to deliver a high-touch client experience while supporting wealth planning, investment implementation, portfolio administration, and team development. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Support
  • Serve as a secondary client contact for complex service requests and relationship support
  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings, including agendas, notes, and follow-up items
  • Develop familiarity with client family structures, goals, and overall wealth strategies
  • Help deliver a consistent, responsive, and high-touch client experience Wealth Management & Advisory Support
  • Support holistic wealth management strategies across investments, tax, estate, insurance, cash flow, and financial planning
  • Assist with asset allocation, portfolio construction, rebalancing, and ongoing portfolio monitoring
  • Prepare and review client-ready materials, including performance reports, allocation summaries, and planning analyses
  • Coordinate with separate account managers, investment managers, CPAs, attorneys, insurance advisors, and other external professionals
  • Support due diligence, subscription, capital call, distribution, and monitoring processes for alternative investments Operations & Execution
  • Oversee and support complex operational tasks, including account opening and maintenance, custodian coordination, cash movement, intra-family or trust transfer documentation, billing reconciliation, and alternative investment administration
  • Ensure accuracy across portfolio accounting systems, client reporting, and transaction workflows
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies, resolve issues where appropriate, and escalate matters as needed Team Leadership & Oversight
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Client Service Associates
  • Review paperwork, transactions, reporting, and other deliverables for accuracy and completeness
  • Help train team members on systems, workflows, and client service standards
  • Serve as a resource for operational and client-related questions Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen the client experience, and increase efficiency
  • Support implementation of new technologies, systems, and procedures Qualifications Experience
  • 5-6+ years of experience in wealth management, family office, or financial services
  • Experience with Black Diamond and Schwab strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment manager coordination, and client reporting
  • Exposure to holistic wealth management, including financial planning, insurance, and multi-asset investing Knowledge & Skills
  • Understanding of asset allocation, portfolio construction, separate account managers, third-party investment managers, and alternative investment structures
  • Familiarity with planning topics such as tax, estate, retirement, cash flow, risk management, and insurance planning
  • Comfort using planning and analysis tools such as eMoney, Excel modeling, and amortization schedules
  • Ability to synthesize complex investment and planning information into clear, client-ready materials
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and capacity to manage multiple priorities Credentials (Preferred)
  • Progress toward or completion of CFP®, CFA®, or similar designation preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred Key Competencies
