Job Description

The path to becoming a Financial Advisor at Ameriprise depends on the licensing level that you enter with.
Paraplanner / Planning
assistant
Level:
If you have a business degree and or 2+ years of experience + the Series 7 / series 66 / Life, Health, DI , LTC Insurance and SIE licenses, we will be able to begin at a higher starting point. A Paraplanner helps to do the following: Support meeting preparation and follow up Execute Trades and aid in money movement requests Complete quarterly investment research with advisor Answer and resolve escalated clients questions / concerns Create Insurance projections if needed Sit in on 1-2 meetings per week to gain a broader understanding of the industry Demonstrate ability to complete data entry, analysis, and recommendations of a moderate complexity case Work with advisor before an after appointment to assist in end to end client service Follow up on all tasks after client appointments If you are not at the level that you have completed the licensing above, we will begin your time with us as a client
Service Associate:
to assist in the activities but not be in charge of them while you are studying for those licenses. We will map out a time line appropriate for obtaining the licenses. This position will begin by learning all of the client service side of what we do for clients, then we will move into case manager (Paraplanner) then 2nd Chair Associate Advisor, and then move into a servicing advisor. The upside potential of this position is high if you are the right person for the Financial Advisor position.

From $55,000.00 per year
