About the Firm Albers Wealth Management is a boutique wealth management practice in Boise, Idaho, built on a foundation of deep, comprehensive financial planning. Our advisor holds a CFP®, CPA, and CLU® credentials that reflect the rigor and breadth of advice we deliver to every client. We are not a transactional firm.
We do full-spectrum planning:
retirement income strategies, tax optimization, estate considerations, insurance analysis, Social Security timing, investment policy, and beyond. Our clients trust us with the full picture of their financial lives. Position Overview and Purpose The Financial Planning Associate is a mid-level position that provides analytical support to the Wealth Management Advisor; a behind-the-scenes thinker who loves digging into the numbers and strategy of complex financial plans. The primary function of this role is to work alongside the advisor and client services administrator to create financial plans that align with the client's goals. They are responsible for data gathering, analysis, case preparation, scenario building, plan development, and presentation development. This role is integral in helping clients achieve their financial goals through expert analysis and strategic planning. Specific responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
  • Have a clear understanding of Albers Wealth Management's planning philosophy and its application for financial planning solutions.
  • Analyze various financial scenarios to determine potential outcomes and impacts on clients' financial goals.
  • Act as subject matter experts for software used in financial planning analysis, retirement distribution, and risk and investment product analysis.
  • Collect, organize, and prepare materials for client meetings, ensuring all materials are provided to advisors in a timely manner for review.
  • Provide assessments for a broad range of financial planning areas such as risk, investments, estate, tax, retirement, business, philanthropic, education, and cash flow management.
  • Responsible for quality control of client deliverables and pre-work including data analysis, financial plan, and presentation material.
  • Prepare ad-hoc charts, graphs, tables and other visual aids for analysis of client scenarios or meetings.
  • On occasion, engage directly with clients in order to collect information and deliver planning materials as needed. Education and Industry Experience Required
  • Proactive, curious mindset with the ability to dive deep into new topics and independently learn new concepts.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning, tax planning, or wealth management analysis
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex topics clearly and simply.
  • Highly detail-oriented, accurate, organized, and able to set priorities autonomously.
  • Highly accomplished analytical skills with the ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Coachable, self-aware, passionate about learning and willing to be vulnerable. Desired
  • Hold Idaho Life, Health, and Long-Term Care insurance licenses. (Must attain within 90 days of employment)
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. (Must attain within 6 months of employment)
  • Industry relevant certifications such as ChFC, CFP, CFA, CWM and RICP.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other business-related degrees. What We Offer

Pay:
$70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
