Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Financial Counselors to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting patients and families by assisting with financial processes, insurance-related inquiries, and administrative support. We are willing to train the right candidates who demonstrate strong customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to learn new processes. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow a career in healthcare administration and patient financial services. Job Specifics This will start as a 3 month temporary position with the possibility of extension or conversion. This is 100% onsite.
Schedule:
M-F; 8a to 4:30p.
Pay Range:
$20.00 to $21.00 per hour. Duties Assist patients and families with financial counseling and payment-related inquiries. Review and verify patient demographic and insurance information. Provide information regarding insurance coverage, benefits, and financial responsibilities. Maintain accurate records and documentation within hospital systems. Communicate professionally with patients, families, insurance providers, and hospital staff. Utilize Microsoft Office and Outlook to manage correspondence, scheduling, and documentation. Support departmental administrative functions and patient financial processes. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and confidentiality requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service in a behavioral health environment. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Previous insurance, healthcare, medical office, or patient registration experience. Knowledge of insurance verification, eligibility, or patient financial services.

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
