Job Description

Financial Counselor The Financial Counselor position is a Full Time, 40 hour per week position. Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. https://www.pembrokehospital.com/ The Financial Counselor is responsible for verifying patients' insurance coverage on a continuous basis. This includes reverification daily of all patients within the hospital and reporting any insurance changes. The individual must be able to communicate clearly, effectively and courteously. This position will have added responsibilities as determined by the department. Responsibilities Verifies patient insurance daily. Updates patient account with changes. Communicates with internal staff on insurance changes promptly. Keeps the hospital informed of high medical responsibilities and changes in insurance. Updates and delivers morning census reports. Assist patients will eligibility for government programs.
