Compensation:
$117,000
Responsibilities:
Seek, identify, and secure strong relationships with new clients by serving as their trusted financial advisor Customize financial plans for each client based on his or her professional/work circumstances, life stage, and evolving financial needs Provide strategic recommendations for products, plans, investments, and other methods to help clients achieve financial goals Be a coachable, organized team member interested in pursuing training development and educational opportunities Determine cash flow, income, financial status, financial goals, monetary assets and all other financial situations related to wealth management to help clients define and achieve their financial objectives Maintain databases, records, and bookkeeping, ensuring all paperwork is up to date Onboard incoming and retain existing clients via a variety of customer service tasks, such as appointment booking and responding to inquiries regarding billing, coverage, eligibility, and insurance policies Evaluate new customers' insurance needs, insurance risk, existing coverage, long-term goals, and financial status through consultations to create a tailored experience that exceeds expectations Process current policyholders' insurance claims while monitoring the status of existing insurance claims Grow new business by generating a prospective customer base and advertising our insurance products via networking, asking for referrals, cold calling, and other marketing strategies
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of the role of a financial advisor or financial consultant, as well interest in the financial industry and financial products is necessary A required Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or similarly related field Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, financial planning software, Google Suite, and other tools strongly preferred Valid FINRA Series 7 & 63/66 preferred but not required Exemplary math skills, communication skills, and relationship skills to support strong customer service for current and new clients Possesses outstanding interpersonal and communication skills Prior health insurance or life insurance experience a bonus Must have graduated from high school or received a GED; a Bachelor's degree is desired Previous customer service or experience as a sales representative preferred Current Life & Health insurance license is greatly valued About Company As a mutual company, with no investors or outside owners, New York Life is uniquely aligned with clients' interests and priorities.
