The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. NJ Family Planning Financial Counselor Under the direction of the Director Patient Care, assumes responsibility for the financial and clerical functions of the office. Ensures accurate and timely collection of information from several sources including patients, families, third party payers, referral sources and others. Assists with the coordination and implementation of billing and accounting functions of practice. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (ie damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc. Assists with Outreach activities to reach individuals in Community Health events. Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure High School diploma Three to five years previous experience in medical insurance billing and collections required Prior healthcare background and knowledge of medical terminology Previous computerized billing/insurance claims processing and preparation of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding background requiredBenefits and Perks:
