Along with their affiliates, have successfully closed over $2 billion in financing transactions to date. They combine the stability of an established business with the energy and innovation of a startup. With a team of 25 professionals, they foster a collaborative and dynamic culture. The Opportunity We are supporting them to hire an attorney interested in a truly entrepreneurial leadership opportunity. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this individual will build and lead an internal law firm subsidiary dedicated exclusively to supporting the company's real estate financing activities. This is a unique role offering the chance to operate with autonomy, shape legal strategy, and create a best-in-class internal legal function within a fast-growing platform. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage an internal legal entity acting as dedicated counsel to the company Provide legal coverage on commercial real estate financing transactions, including; construction financings, bridge loans and HUD financings Oversee transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution Partner closely with executive leadership, originations, and underwriting teams Develop scalable legal processes and frameworks to support continued business growth Manage and, over time, build out an internal legal team as needed Qualifications J.D. and admission to practice law in New York (or eligibility to waive in) Significant experience in commercial real estate finance law Deep familiarity with construction, bridge, and/or HUD financing transactions Strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset Ability to operate independently while collaborating with senior leadership Interest in building and leading a legal function within a growth-oriented environment Why Join Entrepreneurial leadership role with the opportunity to build an internal law firm Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making Competitive compensation package, including base salary + annual bonus eligibility Engaging and energetic company culture with startup-style perks Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing platform
