Summary of the position Retirement Plan Advisors are responsible for developing and executing on plan sponsor client relationships in collaboration with other service team members/partners to provide an exceptional client experience. The position is client-facing with the objectives of helping our plan sponsor clients recruit and retain employees, meet their corporate goals and objectives, enrich their employees lives while earning trust and delivering results. In this role, the advisor would function as the primary client relationship manager and support specialist. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day aspects of client engagements as a member of a client service team. Identify and recommend appropriate plan design given objectives, manage fund lineups according to the IPS, provide appropriate fiduciary governance process and procedure/documentation, regularly benchmark plans to ensure competitive fee structure and provide education and communication to both the plan sponsor and participants to deliver a great client experience. Proactively maintain client relationships through excellent client service. Lead the preparation of meeting materials, including agendas, fiduciary investment review materials, meeting summaries and other related materials based on topics/partners. Prepare and send meeting summary following client meetings, clarifying understandings and outlining next steps and action items. Lead in the creation of periodic benchmarking reports to be delivered to clients. Coordinate with external and internal team members to follow up on and execute advice items in a timely manner. Utilize Salesforce for documentation and processing of client data and tasks. Ensure plan document and investment policy adherence and compliance. Manage meeting follow up, including coordination of internal and external resources responsible for making sure all follow up items are completed and documented. Attend and lead client meetings as required in-person or remote as required. Identify rollover and asset management opportunities in existing client relationships. Plan and lead employee engagement and education for the clients served. Required Skills/Experience Bachelor's degree required in Economics, Finance or related field. CPA/CFP achieved or working towards or other related retirement plan designation such as CPFA or Q(k)A. Minimum three years of experience in Retirement Plan Consultant/Advisory role, five or more years preferred. Technical knowledge of all aspects of comprehensive retirement plan management including: plan design consulting, fiduciary governance, investment management, education/communication planning and benchmarking services. Previous experience working with RPAG practice management software and deliverables is a plus. Competent with Microsoft Office suite and Client Relationship Management system such as Salesforce. Travel will be required in this role to cover the anticipated book of RPS business. Client relationships are primarily in NE OH and MN. Competencies Strong organization and time management skills; effectively able to handle multiple projects and prioritize to meet established deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to find creative solutions to problems, devise strategies, and propose solutions. Self-starter and able to perform job duties with little supervision. Customer service oriented, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team members.
