Job Description

This role requires you to complete the CFP within 6 months of start or currently hold CFP Certification. We are looking for an Associate Planner to learn our planning process and help support our members (clients) and planning team. We are a fee-only fiduciary who specializes in helping people with more than $3 million simplify retirement complexity with a focus on coordinating investments, taxes and legacy planning. Position Overview Planners in this role are emerging member relationship leaders who balance direct member responsibility with continued collaboration alongside more senior planners. As an Associate Planner, you will play an important role in supporting the planning team and helping deliver a high-quality member experience. You will spend significant time working directly with members, preparing for meetings, gathering and organizing data, following through on action items after meetings and assisting with financial planning analyses. You will attend member meetings alongside Lead and Senior Planners and gradually take on greater responsibility as your experience and technical knowledge grow. Over time, you will continue developing toward independently managing more member relationships. This role works closely with the entire planning team and is designed for someone who enjoys learning, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to build a long-term career in financial planning. There are no business development or sales expectations in this position. Instead, your focus will be on learning our planning process, supporting the planning team, and developing the skills needed to lead member relationships independently.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare for member meetings by organizing financial information, reviewing planning details, and coordinating meeting materials Attend member meetings, take notes and assist with follow-up tasks and action items Participate in member meetings and progressively be able to lead. Gather, input, and maintain member financial data within planning software and CRM system. Develop & implement financial plans Monitor and maintain member investment accounts and planning updates Respond promptly to member inquiries Collaborate with the planning team to ensure a consistent and organized member experience Continue developing financial planning knowledge, technical skills, and communication abilities Participate in training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities Progressively take on additional planning responsibility and member relationship management as experience grows Skills and knowledge requirements: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment Growth-minded attitude with a desire to learn and develop professionally Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently Interest in comprehensive financial planning and retirement planning Experience with Salesforce, eMoney, Orion/Eclipse, or Schwab platforms is helpful but not required Experience and education requirements: Bachelor's degree required; finance, accounting, business, or related field preferred Complete CFP within 6 months of start or currently hold CFP Certification Previous experience in financial planning, wealth management, banking, or client service roles Desire to build a long-term career path within a collaborative planning firm
Benefits:
Salary ranges from $77,000 - $88,000 depending on experience, licensing, and certifications.
