Job Description Financial Planner Whether you are passionate about helping others achieve financial success or excited about the opportunity to build a lucrative business, a career as a Financial Planner allows you to shape the vision of your practice. All while providing the flexibility to manage your time as you want - as a parent, little league coach, or community volunteer. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of financial markets and products. Some of our most successful Planners came from careers in technology sales, fundraising, accounting, and consulting. As a Financial Planner, you will be responsible for providing individuals and businesses with comprehensive advice regarding their financial future, including retirement planning, wealth management, estate planning, long-term care, business solutions, and college savings plans. If you do not already have an investment background, you must be willing to acquire FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses and will be trained on the required knowledge. Be a Financial Planner & shape your vision while helping others achieve financial success. With training and licenses, you can join our team and gain flexibility to manage your time as you choose. Responsibilities
  • Working with our Planning Experience Team, you will prepare and present comprehensive financial plans with appropriate recommendations for your client's financial objectives
  • Offering strategic advice on products and services, such as investments and insurance coverage
  • Maintaining compliance with all the rules and regulations in the industry
  • Identifying and pursuing potential clients to develop and keep a strong client base Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience
  • Ability to acquire FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses Specific Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent People, Communication, Sales, and Interpersonal skills
  • Being coachable, collaborative, and curious are your "go to" attributes
  • Keen ability to present complex solutions to a knowledgeable client base while building rapport and credibility
  • Driven, open to learning new things, and always looking for ways to leave people better than you found them
  • Commitment to completing projects on a deadline, with a focus on efficiency and a professional final product
  • Aptitude for staying abreast of both current and proposed regulations impacting financial planning
  • Focus and attention to detail on projects and reports with a high level of accuracy
  • Dedicated to continually improving our services to ensure an outstanding client experience including planning related deliverables and presentations Daily Activities Include (but not limited to)
  • Financial planning consultation meetings with clients
  • Relationship building with Centers of Influence (COI)
  • Networking events in your community
  • Business analytics review / personal portfolio management
  • Development meeting with firm executive coach
