Job Details Description Financial Aid Advisor HondrosCollege of Nursing West Chester, OH This is a remote role, open to residents of Ohio andwho are able to travel to our Cincinnati and Dayton locations quarterly. The Financial Aid Advisor will provideinformation and support to students, families, and school personnel regarding the financial aid process. You will also advise students onthe availability of resources, eligibility requirements, and the necessary steps to apply for and receive financial aid. The Financial AidAdvisor will provide guidance on budget management, loan repayment options, and other financial aid related matters. This rolereports to the Campus Executive Director/Regional Campus Executive Director and has no direct reports. Responsibilities:
Financial Aid:
Provide students and families with specific, clear, and accurate informationregarding the financial aid process, each type of aid and additionally available resources. Review Financial Aid Policies withrespect to enrollment & receipt of financial aid at Hondros College of Nursing, including but not limited to the College's InstitutionalRefund Policy, Cost of Attendance, the requirements for the treatment of Title IV, HEA Program Funds when related to withdraw (as prescribedunder 34 C.F.R. 668.22), Satisfactory Academic Progress, Professional Judgement, and other aid altering occurrences. Advisesstudents that Grants and Scholarships, provided by Federal, State, or third-party sources, are the most beneficial types of financialassistance available. Assist the College's Third-Party Aid Processor, Global Financial Services, with resolving conflictingapplicant information, verification related requirements, unusual enrollment history, applicant identity verification, etc. This includesmaintaining and updating student financial aid records using institutional aid processing systems and federal aid processingsystems. Student Finance:
Using Financial Aid eligibility determinants, create, deliver, and updatestudent payment plans. Create and deliver Truth-In-Lending Act information to students. Monitor student accounts to ensuretimely payment of tuition and fees. Assist students with loan repayment options Communicate with external agencies tocoordinate financial aid services. Collect and maintain student business office documents Collaborate with CampusLeadership on Financial Readiness of students to begin and maintain enrollment. Adhere to and maintain the College's Bursar'sPolicies and Procedures, along with documentation and best practices. Experience:
Two years Finance,Regulatory, Higher Education experience or equivalent education and experience required Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling andpunctuation Knowledge of office procedures and equipment Knowledge of computers and appropriate software Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to interact diplomatically with a variety of individuals at variousorganizational levels Ability to identify moderately complex administrative issues and problems and resolve or escalate toappropriate individual Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices Knowledge of basic budgeting procedures Ability to maintain confidentiality of information Aptitude for accuracy and detail Strong time management andorganizational skills Ability to work on simultaneous projects at once Education :
Associatespreferred or experience •All Financial Aid Advisors must be in Good Standing with the U.S. Department of Education to be, andremain, employed in this role. About Us:
