  • Full-time McLean Asset Management (McLean) is a wealth management and financial planning firm, with an emphasis on retirement income planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, headquartered in Tysons, VA.
With more than 40 years of history, McLean acts as a fiduciary and works with clients to help them achieve their financial goals and build income architectures they can live on. McLean is seeking an experienced financial planner and wealth advisor to independently manage existing client relationships, focusing on service delivery and a positive experience, while leading and mentoring other members of the advisory team. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage client relationships by acting as the primary point of contact and overseeing all aspects of the financial planning process (emphasis on tax planning, distribution planning, charitable giving, and estate planning).
  • Drive the financial planning process by designing, analyzing, and presenting customized plans tailored to each client's circumstances. Develop recommendations designed to help clients achieve their goals in a tax-efficient manner. Translate complex planning concepts into clear, actionable client guidance
  • Oversee the implementation of the financial planning and meeting action items and provide feedback for improvements and efficiencies as needed to enhance the professional development of team members.
  • Develop the ongoing client relationship through touchpoints and other forms of engagement.
  • Coach and mentor other members of the advisory team to increase depth of knowledge, identify planning opportunities for review and discussion with the client, and improve the overall client experience.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for various planning topics, staying up to date on planning issues and communicating updates to the staff, contributing content for client articles or blog posts.
  • Coordinate advice among the client's professional advisors, building a network of centers of influence (COIs).
  • Identify planning opportunities proactively and help clients navigate complex financial decisions with confidence and clarity.
  • Collaborate with advisors, planners, and client service team members across the firm to continually improve planning workflows and the overall client experience. Required Qualifications
  • CFP® designation in good standing (required)
