Senior Financial Planning Strategist / Estate Planning Specialist Location Hybrid role requiring a minimum of 4 days per week in office. Candidates should be based near one of the following hubs: Atlanta, GA; La Vista, NE; Oakdale, MN; Scottsdale, AZ; Berwyn, PA; or St. Petersburg, FL. Remote candidates are not being considered at this time. Compensation Base salary ranges from $135,000 to $160,000 per year, plus annual bonus. Actual compensation will depend on location, experience, education, and overall fit. Overview A leading financial services platform is seeking a Senior Financial Planning Strategist / Estate Planning Specialist to join its High Net Worth Planning Services team. This is a senior, technically skilled, and service-oriented position focused on helping financial advisors navigate sophisticated client situations across estate planning, business planning, and tax planning strategies. The successful individual will act as an expert resource to advisors working with high-net-worth clients, helping assess complex planning issues, review legal and financial documents, and translate technical planning findings into clear, practical recommendations. Key responsibilities Provide advanced planning support to financial advisors across estate planning, taxation, business succession planning, trust administration, life insurance, and qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. Conduct research, use planning technology, and apply technical expertise to solve complex financial planning issues and recommend appropriate planning solutions. Review and summarise complex estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and powers of attorney. Review business governance documentation such as operating agreements, buy-sell agreements, partnership agreements, and shareholder agreements. Distill highly technical planning concepts into clear, accessible, and actionable advice for financial advisors to use with their clients. Keep abreast of legislative, regulatory, and industry developments that may affect financial planning strategy and broader planning direction. Deliver presentations and educational content to both internal and external audiences, including webinars, conferences, advisor meetings, and team training sessions. Support the development of colleagues by acting as a mentor and helping build financial planning capability within the wider team. Candidate profile This role is best suited to a senior financial planning professional with deep exposure to high-net-worth planning and strong technical capability in estate, trust, tax, and business planning matters. The ideal person will be comfortable working across multiple complex cases at once and able to communicate nuanced planning concepts clearly to advisors and stakeholders. Strong candidates are likely to come from backgrounds such as: advanced planning teams within wealth management firms, RIAs, private banks, or broker-dealers high-net-worth financial planning teams estate and trust planning support functions business succession or tax-aware planning roles advisor-facing planning strategist or consultant positions with strong technical depth Required experience and qualifications 10+ years of financial planning experience in a client-facing or advisor-facing capacity. CFP designation. Strong experience delivering presentations, training, or educational content to a variety of audiences.
