Overview :

The Interim Senior Counsel is a senior-level role providing broad legal support across the company's lending, servicing, asset management, insurance, and growth initiatives.

Experience:

Seeking candidates with 5+ years of experience supporting financial services organizations, with a strong focus on lending products and services. Ideal candidates will bring a solid understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks governing lending operations, along with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented guidance.

Location:

Hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week in Wayne, PA office.

Responsibilities Include:

Advise on legal risks and provide practical guidance for new products, partnerships, and growth initiatives Partner with business, compliance, operations, and technology teams to support execution of strategic priorities Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements Support contract lifecycle processes and develop templates and playbooks to improve efficiency Conduct legal research and regulatory analysis impacting lending and related business lines Assist with regulatory change management and risk assessments

Qualifications Include:

Strong analytical, research, and writing skills with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business guidance Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts Working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks across core business activities Ability to manage multiple priorities with sound judgment and attention to detail Strong communication skills with the ability to advise senior stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally Practical, business-oriented approach to balancing risk and operational needs High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity Information regarding benefits can be found on MLA's Website on the
