Job Summary:
The Wealth Advisor will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique financial goals and needs, and developing customized financial plans and investment strategies to help them achieve financial freedom. This role requires a strong background in financial planning, investment management, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service in a fiduciary capacity. Key Accountabilities Client Relationship Management and Development Primary Contact :
Serve as the primary point of contact for your designated book of clients, building deep, long-term relationships based on trust and a thorough understanding of their financial lives. Client Reviews :
Conduct regular client meetings to review financial plans, investment performance, address life changes, and proactively identify new planning opportunities. Business Development :
Actively engage in business development activities, including networking, referrals, and community involvement, to attract and onboard new clients aligned with the firm's ideal client profile. Client Engagement :
Maintain consistent communication with clients to keep them informed and engaged. Comprehensive Financial Planning Data Analysis :
Gather and analyze comprehensive client financial data, including assets, liabilities, income, expenses, insurance, and estate planning documents. Plan Development :
Develop, present, and implement customized financial plans addressing areas such as retirement planning, investment planning, education planning, risk management, tax planning strategies, and philanthropic goals. Projections :
Utilize financial planning software to create detailed projections and scenarios. Deliverables :
Prepare and present clear, concise financial planning documents, investment performance reports, and other client-facing materials, including income projections. Investment Management and Strategy Strategy Recommendation :
Assess client risk tolerance, time horizon, and financial objectives to recommend appropriate investment strategies. Client Education :
Explain investment concepts, portfolio construction, and market conditions to clients in an understandable manner. Internal Collaboration :
Collaborate with the investment committee/team to ensure client portfolios are aligned with firm investment philosophy and client objectives. Collaboration and Teamwork Operations Support :
Work closely with internal teams, including Client Service Associates and Portfolio Administrators, to ensure a seamless client experience and efficient operations. External Networks :
Partner with external professionals such as CPAs, estate attorneys, and insurance specialists to provide comprehensive solutions for clients. Firm Improvement :
Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital and best practices. Compliance and Ethics Fiduciary Duty :
Operate with the highest ethical standards and always act in a fiduciary capacity, putting clients' best interests first. Regulatory Compliance :
Adhere to all firm compliance policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations (e.g., SEC, FINRA). Record Keeping :
Maintain accurate and detailed client records and documentation. Market Research Industry Acumen :
Continuously monitor financial markets, economic trends, legislative changes, and industry best practices to ensure advice remains current and compliant. Education, Experience, and LicensesEducation Required :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (equivalent relevant experience will be considered). Preferred :
Master's degree or CFP® certification. Experience Required :
5+ years of experience as a financial advisor or wealth manager within an RIA, wealth management firm, or similar fiduciary environment. Track Record :
Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and developing new business. Licenses and Certifications CFP® : Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation is strongly preferred or in progress. FINRA :
FINRA Series 65, or the ability to obtain it shortly after hire. Plus :
Other relevant designations (e.g., CFA, ChFC, CPA) are a plus. Core Qualifications & Skills Software Proficiency :
Experience with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, Money GuidePro, RightCapital). CRM Systems :
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Redtail, Junxure). Reporting Platforms :
Familiarity with portfolio management and reporting platforms (e.g., Orion, Tamarac, Black Diamond, Addepar). Office Productivity :
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Technical Knowledge :
In-depth knowledge of financial planning principles, investment strategies, tax implications, retirement planning, estate planning, risk management, and market dynamics. Interpersonal Skills :
