Job Description

The Ryan White Part A Program is a federally funded program that funds and provides medical and supportive services for people living with HIVand AIDS. The program consists of two major components: the Planning Council and Grantee Administration. The Planning Council determines the services needed and the amount of funding dedicated to each service. The Grantee's Office is responsible for program administration. We are looking for an experienced Program Supervisor to provide support to the Greater Hampton Roads HIV Planning Council (GHRHPC). This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing personnel, programs, and events. The Program Supervisor monitors program compliance, promotes public relations, and other related duties. This high visibility role fosters collaboration with community stakeholders, healthcare providers, and PLWH to ensure diverse representation and input. A key responsibility is to promote awareness of the Planning Council's activities and decisions to the broader community while coordinating outreach and recruitment efforts to maintain a diverse and representative Planning Council membership.
Department Hiring Salary Range:
$56,900 - $60,953 Essential functions include but are not limited to: Facilitate Planning Council meetings Work with PC Committee Chairs to ensure committees have annual work plans Provide technical advice and support in such tasks as: needs assessment design, preparations for data presentation, and PSRA session planning Assist in the development of PC policies and procedures Manage PC communications Provide expert advice on RW legislative requirements and
HRSA/HAB
regulations and expectations, and explain and interpret the PC Bylaws, policies, and procedures Oversee training for PC members Encourage member involvement and retention Assist with outreach and other efforts to engage PC members Serve as liaison with Recipient, Community, and Chief Elected Official (CEO) Supervises the Administrative Technician Help the PC manage its budget Actively recruit new PC members Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Work requires broad knowledge in Ryan White Programs or HIV Services. Preferred administrative experience working with State/Federal grants. Prior experience working with community-based organizations. Two years' experience in supervision or leadership preferred.
