Job Description
About the
Role:
The Associate Trust Officer will work closely with senior officers to further their experience in trust administration, client service, and business development. This position administers simple trust and investment accounts, assists senior officers with the administration of complex trusts, and maintains and develops client relationships with moderate supervision. They provide exceptional service to existing trust clients. Perform a variety of written and verbal communication tasks and projects in order to ensure satisfactory completion and implementation of work or projects Support the setup and closure of accounts, ensuring compliance and accuracy Develop and retain client relationships Engage in introductory business development activities, including:- Shadowing senior trust officers during prospect meetings and networking events
- Assisting in the preparation of proposals and presentations for prospective clients
- Participating in partner education to promote the Company and the service offerings
- Participate in community activities that provide opportunities to form business relationships with candidates for trust services Administer accounts in a satisfactory manner, including maintaining account files Assist clients in achieving planned goals established at the opening of their account within an acceptable level of risk Participate in client meetings and contribute to communication plans.

About You:
If one has practical trust experience, a bachelor's degree is preferred (otherwise required) 2-4 years' experience in trust or related financial services (required) Knowledge and understanding of the trust data processing system, as well as general principles of trust accounting and tax law (required) 1 year of exposure to fiduciary duties and client facing responsibilities (preferred) Developing interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with customers and staff Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Good analytical abilities to recognize and solve clients' estate planning and investment issues Effective organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Basic knowledge of tax preparation, particularly for fiduciary income tax returns and estate tax returns Ability to use personal computers, Windows, and related software applications Basic knowledge of the commercial banking environment to facilitate trust clients' financial needs and the trust company's interface with commercial affiliates CFTA Education Enrolled (required) The base pay range for this role is $80,168.40 to $105,000.00. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.Primary Location:
