Instructor of Practice - FINA 3020 (Part-Time), Fall 2026

Prepare and teach one (1) section of FINA 3020, Fundamentals of Financial Planning, 3 credits. The course meets on MW 2-3:15 pm. Course description - Introduction to the framework and tools for preparing personal financial plans as a career path in the financial services industry. Topics covered include major asset purchases, managing liabilities, determining insurance needs, developing investment portfolios, tax strategies, retirement plans, and estate planning. Course also covers professional ethical standards. Duties and Responsibilities Prepare a well-organized syllabus and teaching plan that clearly reflects the course objectives as well as expectations, conduct well-prepared class sessions that effectively deliver the course content and engages students, administer meaningful and relevant assignments, and grade students' work with an emphasis on student development. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Teaching experience in the relevant area at the university level or professional training experience strongly preferred. Department Finance (Business Admin.)
