Power BI Consultant (Financial Data / D365 BC Project)
Location:
Milwaukee-area (hybrid: ~1 day onsite/week)EligibilityMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basisNo sponsorship or C2C options availableMust be local to the Milwaukee, WI metro area We are seeking a Power BI Consultant / Financial Data Analyst to transform complex legacy financial data into clear, actionable reporting as part of a D365 Business Central implementation. This role will focus on building reporting from ~2.5 years of historical data across U.S. and international operations to support finance and executive decision-making.

Key ResponsibilitiesExtract, cleanse, and validate legacy financial data across multiple systems and locationsBuild Power BI reports for GL activity, trial balances, ending balances, and historical performanceTranslate complex financial data into actionable insights for finance and leadership teamsPartner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and ensure data accuracyDevelop executive dashboards providing visibility into performance, margins, and trends across locationsIdentify and resolve data inconsistencies, gaps, and mapping challenges
Project ScopePhase I:
Build foundational reporting using U.S. financial data
Phase II:
Develop executive dashboards for multi-location performance insights
Future:
Integrate European data, including VAT considerations and non-standard project trackingQualificationsStrong Power BI experience working with financial dataExperience with GL, trial balance, and historical reportingAbility to work with incomplete or inconsistent data across multiple sourcesStrong communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsNice to HaveERP experience (ideally D365 Business Central)Multi-entity or international financial reporting backgroundExposure to VAT or labor/project allocation modeling
