Price Book Manager Fairbanks, AK | Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Starting at $23/hr + DOE
ABOUT MARKET BASKET INC.
Market Basket Inc. is a family-owned company serving the Fairbanks and North Pole communities. We operate seven locations across
Interior Alaska:
Gavoras Fine Wine, Steese Gas, Thrifty Liquor, Sentry Hardware (North Pole), Badger Gas, Hot Springs Gas, and Ester Gas. Our main office is located in downtown Fairbanks.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Price Book Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate pricing and promotional data across our point-of-sale (POS) and back-office systems companywide. This role is critical to pricing integrity, margin management, and the smooth day-to-day operation of all Market Basket locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Price Book Maintenance:
Manage and update the price book system, ensuring accurate product descriptions, item codes, costs, and retail prices across all locations.
Promotions & Margin Management:
Implement promotional pricing, discounts, and margin-targeted retail adjustments to drive profitability.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination:
Electronically receive and process price files from vendors, set up new items, and audit invoices to resolve discrepancies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with the Marketing team to plan, execute, and analyze the results of merchandising programs and sales trends.
Auditing & Reporting:
Conduct routine audits to ensure POS, inventory, and back-office systems remain synchronized. Prepare periodic reports for senior leadership.
Issue Resolution:
Troubleshoot pricing discrepancies and assist store employees and end-users with price-related questions.
Order Coordination:
Ensure all weekly and biweekly orders are placed on time — including vendors such as Costco, AutoZone, Woodway, Home Depot, and Alaska Restaurant Supply.
Office Support:
Greet visitors, answer phones, and file invoices and paid bills on a weekly basis.

Starting wage of $23/hr — with additional compensation available based on experience and skills Consistent Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM — no nights or weekends Stable, family-owned company with deep roots in the Fairbanks community Collaborative team environment with a mix of retail, operations, and office work
