Job Description

Transportation Pricing Analyst. This position is responsible for continually improving our freight network, by maximizing revenue through density and balance while minimizing operational cost through pricing opportunities. Manage Pricing Book of Business by supporting formal and informal bid and pricing requests Ability to effectively communicate and present pricing and costing solutions to Executive Management Execute bid process. Prepare and audit pricing results. Update committed and non-committed awards. Create, communicate and implement profitable pricing solutions Complete understanding of all pricing models and principles used to arrive at collective pricing decisions and business propositions Solid understanding of general costing principles and the cost models used to design competitive pricing models Utilize complex financial tools required to better assess customer profitability and decision-making Prepare customer pricing strategy reviews and participate in pricing presentations to sales, sales leaders and senior management Demonstrated ability to lead projects and exercises that support yield improvement objectives and revenue growth initiatives Utilize and maintain reporting/data integrity for both internal and external reporting needs Demonstrate a solid understanding of both Domestic and International pricing objectives and how each area functions Maintain Pricing systems/data bases and other departmental database to ensure timely and accurate information Compile data, analyze and prepare reports on actual or projected information
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma. Minimum of two years relevant experience. Continuing education in regulatory and compliance items. "Big Picture", strategic thinking with attention to detail
PREFERRED SKILLS
Bachelor degree preferred. Strong general knowledge of freight pricing and strategy. Effective communication and collaboration laterally, upward, and downward. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with detailed knowledge of Excel. Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience. Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results. Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety.
