We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Senior Manager, FP&;A to join our finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a critical part in forecasting, budgeting, pricing strategy, and project financial management across a diverse portfolio of government contracts and mission-driven initiatives. What You'll DoFinancial Planning &; ForecastingLead recurring forecasts, EAC updates, and financial planning activities across a portfolio of government contractsIdentify financial risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to leadershipDrive annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes, including templates, reporting, and executive-ready summariesPartner closely with project managers and division leadership to improve funding utilization, margin performance, and project financial disciplineGovernment Contract &; Pricing SupportOversee pricing support through management of a pricing-focused Financial AnalystReview pricing models, assumptions, and cost volumes for proposals and contract modifications government contracting expertise related to indirect rates, allowability, funded ceilings, and contract complianceSupport compliant and competitive pricing strategies across contract types including cost-reimbursable, T&;M, and fixed-price contractsSystems, Reporting &; Process ImprovementUtilize Deltek Costpoint (Planning module preferred) to maintain accurate plans, reconcile actuals, and improve reporting integrityDevelop and maintain audit-ready financial models, standardized templates, and forecasting toolsIdentify opportunities for automation, reporting enhancements, and process optimizationExplore innovative uses of AI within FP&;A to improve forecasting accuracy, pricing strategy, and margin optimizationTeam LeadershipCoach and develop a Financial Analyst, ensuring quality, prioritization, and cross-functional collaborationFoster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and analytical excellenceWhat You Bring Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)8+ years of progressive experience in government contract finance, pricing, and project financial managementStrong expertise in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and executive financial reportingAdvanced Excel skills, including complex financial modeling, pivots, scenario analysis, and data manipulationExperience with Deltek Costpoint required; Planning module experience a plusWorking knowledge of government contracting principles including indirect rates, allowability, and contract funding structuresEven Better if You BringExperience supporting healthcare-focused government contracts (CMS, HHS, CDC, NIH, HRSA, Medicaid, public health, etc.)Knowledge of FAR Part 31 and/or 2 CFR 200Experience supporting audits, negotiations, or proposal pricing activitiesFamiliarity with Power BI or similar analytics toolsPrior people leadership experienceCPA, CMA, or Master's degree What Makes You SuccessfulStrong analytical and financial modeling capabilitiesExceptional attention to detail and quality controlAbility to influence stakeholders across functions and levelsClear, concise communication and executive storytelling with dataProcess-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvementSound judgment and adaptability in complex or ambiguous environmentsWhy AltarumAt Altarum, your work contributes directly to improving health systems and advancing equity in communities nationwide. W You'll Work
- Remote with occasional in-person collaboration days
- If you're near one of our offices (Arlington, VA; Silver Spring, MD; or Novi, MI), you'll join us in person one day every other month (6 times per year) for a fun, purpose-driven Collaboration Day. These days are filled with creative energy, meaningful connection, and team brainstorming!
- Non-local employees will join these days virtually and may be asked to join us occasionally in-person.
Work Eligibility & Requirements
- Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
- All work must be performed within the continental U.S. for the duration of employment, unless required by contract.
- Ability to work core hours aligned with Eastern Time, unless otherwise approved by your manager.
- Remote employees must maintain a dedicated, ergonomically appropriate workspace free from distractions, with reliable internet and a mobile device that supports efficient work.

Individual compensation packages are based on numerous factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. This salary range is not a guarantee of compensation, as the final offer amount will vary based on these factors.
