Category Pricing Strategy:
Responsible for developing and execution pricing strategies for a merch division. Activities include partnering with MVP and merchants to designing effective strategies, developing reporting and feedback loop to MVP an merchants
Strategic Initiatives:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and develop the team responsible for ensuring Lowe's category pricing strategies are implemented, measured, and optimized across the full product life cycle through the use of strategic pricing and modeling tools. This includes responsibility for driving the process to measure and monitor P&P strategies and tactics through the use of dashboards, visual analytics, and score carding. The purpose of the role is to identify and lead key projects that drive forward strategic priorities for Lowe's, including but not limited to, Markdown optimization, Localization strategies, and/or Pro share. This role is charged with understanding customers' values, business strategies and determining optimal approaches for meeting their needs. Each project will be tailored to achieve the desired goals, and through this role, the Sr. Manager will provide leadership and guidance to the team. This role will identify project risk and work with cross functional teams to develop mitigation plans. This position will identify key tollgates and communicate regularly status updates to senior leadership. To be successful, this role will build, sustain and influence senior leaders within the Merchandising, IT, DACI, Supply Chain and Finance organizations. The role will identify and hire strong talent, and provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to help them achieve their best.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for the tactical execution and leadership of end-to-end pricing lifecycle strategy and strategic projects and serves as primary project manager through risk identification and development of risk mitigation Ensures that pricing and promotional strategies are developed, implemented, measured, and monitored effectively and efficiently through proprietary and third-party tools, analysis, and reporting Develops and presents communications, frequently to senior leadership, that convey the right message in an effective way to the appropriate audience Collaborates with other Pricing teams to create synergies between teams, share a cohesive vision, and foster an environment of communication and collaboration Examines and streamlines work flows and processes within the team to increase efficiency Responsible for providing input on using new tools and capabilities to deliver competitive pricing recommendations across the full product life cycle to their partners Responsible for using new tools and capabilities to deliver competitive pricing recommendations across the full product life cycle to their partners Responsible for maintaining key merchandising relationships and a line of communication to establish regularly delivered progress reports and to ensure alignment across functions. Leads a team of direct reports, completing all the people management activities associated with leadership of a highly functioning team, including responsibilities of recruiting, hiring, developing and performance of team members. Provides timely, effective and actionable feedback and coaching to reporting individuals so that they may continue growth and development as well as perform necessary responsibilities of their role. Works with business partners and other stakeholders to prioritize information/reporting needs and prioritizes activities for direct reports. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field. 7-10+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, finance, merchandising, revenue management, or retail strategy. Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing senior leadership. Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel, SQL, BI tools, or pricing software, and AI Initiatives Managing teams and developing talent. Lead, coach, and develop pricing analysts and managers. • Establish pricing governance, policies, and processes. Preferred Skills/Education Master's degree MBA or other relevant Plus prior corporate retail pricing, promotions or competitive intelligence analytics or strategy experience.
