This role is a high impact finance leader that supports strategic growth at the company. This position is highly visible and requires frequent interactions across all levels of the organization. The role will report to the Sr. Director Finance & Accounting and work very closely with the CFO.

Greater Syracuse Area, New York Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain customer profitability metrics, analyzing revenue, cost, gross margins and contribution margins supporting continued optimization.
  • Maintain accurate customer price lists in Oracle and effectively communicate price updates to customers on a weekly basis.
  • Partner with the Sales team to support pricing recommendations on new and continuing customer bid opportunities.
  • Balance recurring financial reporting cycles with project based analytical work.
  • Maintain master pricing and margins sheets with timely and accurate data.
  • Own monthly customer accrual & monthly customer Lag reporting.
  • Partner closely with R D on new and updated formula costing.
  • Work closely with procurement to ensure all cost inputs are reflected in customer pricing in a timely manner.
  • Ability to consolidate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Support in the development, validation & generation of the monthly financial reporting package.
  • Support the Annual Budget and Quarterly Forecasting process for the commercial side of the business.
  • Lead continuous enhancements and implement ongoing process improvements within the assigned responsibilities.
  • Develop financial reporting that can drive actionable insights into customer buying behaviors.
  • Develop, maintain and interpret reports critical to running the business.
  • Lead key projects for the commercial team to drive both efficiency and accuracy of results and reporting.
  • Monitor the efficiency of accounting control procedures and adherence to the company's internal control policies, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Responsible for complying with GMPs, SOPs, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills across various departments, ensuring clear and effective collaboration.
  • All other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Support the broader Finance and Accounting team on an as needed basis.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting/or finance experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced skills/knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with accounting and finance within an ERP environment is required, Oracle is preferred.
  • Accounting / Finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and general knowledge of office equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively, showcasing strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understand and respond appropriately to basic to complex employee, vendor, and customer inquiries.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities as well as attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and knowledge of weights and measures, to sufficiently handle job tasks.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
