Pricing Analyst

Job Overview Christenson Transportation is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Pricing Analyst to join our growing team. This role is responsible for analyzing transportation opportunities, developing competitive pricing strategies, supporting customer bids/RFPs, and helping drive profitable growth across our asset-based and brokerage operations. Our pricing process combines market intelligence, network optimization, historical lane performance, and operational data to create competitive and sustainable pricing solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of transportation markets and pricing strategy. Responsibilities Analyze freight opportunities and develop competitive, profitable pricing proposals Prepare customer quotes, contract pricing, mini-bids, and annual RFP responses Review market trends, fuel costs, lane history, and capacity conditions to support pricing decisions Utilize tools such as DAT, McLeod, and internal systems to support analysis Evaluate lane fit, empty miles, dwell time, equipment utilization, and network efficiency Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Leadership on strategic opportunities Maintain pricing databases, customer tariffs, and lane history records Identify margin improvement opportunities and network efficiencies Assist with contract review and customer onboarding support as needed Build reports and dashboards to track awarded business and pricing performance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, brokerage, supply chain, or pricing preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills required (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) Experience with TMS systems such as McLeod preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Understanding of truckload markets, fuel surcharge programs, and carrier costing preferred What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Benefits package (Health/Dental/Vision Insurance, 401K, etc.) Growth opportunities within a stable and expanding company Team-oriented environment with direct exposure to leadership Opportunity to make an immediate impact in a key strategic role How to Apply Please submit your resume and relevant experience for consideration.
