Pricing Analyst

Pricing Analyst Position Summary The Pricing Analyst supports margin optimization and revenue growth within a manufacturing and distribution environment by analyzing product costs, pricing structures, and customer profitability. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to manage pricing strategies, customer rebates, and warranty-related cost considerations across multiple channels. Key Responsibilities Analyze product pricing, gross margins, and cost-to-serve across SKUs, customers, and distribution channels. Maintain and update price lists, customer-specific pricing, discounts, and contract pricing within ERP systems. Support pricing strategy development based on raw material costs, freight, labor, overhead, and market competitiveness. Administer and analyze rebate programs, including volume rebates, distributor incentives, and promotional allowances; track accruals, validate rebate claims, and support true-ups. Incorporate warranty considerations into pricing and margin analysis, including warranty terms, expected claim rates, returns, and warranty cost recovery. Partner with Sales to support deal reviews, special pricing requests, and margin analysis. Monitor competitive pricing and market trends. Support reporting related to pricing performance, rebates, warranty reserves, and margin impact. Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain on cost drivers, inventory, and lead times. Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes and controls. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in pricing or financial analysis within manufacturing or distribution preferred Understanding of product costing, margins, and pricing mechanics. Experience working with rebates, incentives, and warranty-related costs preferred. Advanced Excel skills; ERP and BI tool experience a plus. Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with BOM analysis, landed cost modeling, and freight recovery. Familiarity with rebate accruals, distributor agreements, and warranty reserve concepts. SQL or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
